Tester can be used to check hot or cold fluid, directly from radiator or coolant overflow system.

The SIERRA Floating Ball Tester should be used to test propylene glycol based antifreeze only. Because of the specific gravity of propylene glycol, the SIERRA Floating Ball Tester will not accurately measure the freeze point of conventional ethylene glycol based antifreeze.
